I like taking messy, ambiguous problems and turning them into systems that hold up. That took me from machine learning coursework and a published paper at Bennett, to building AI systems for clients, to a master's in Data Science in Finland. The most useful thing I learned on the way is how wide the gap is between a model that works in a notebook and a system that works every day for people who never think about it.

Right now I'm most interested in language-model systems that have to be correct rather than merely impressive, and in automation people can trust with real work. I'm looking for AI/ML engineering, applied science and data science roles.
